Extremely disappointed.

For the record, I'm an English woman of Irish extraction. I have pale skin which is currently carrying a light tan for the first time ever, and I have relatively sensitive skin which is slightly dry and used to break out. However, since I switched to more natural skincare and makeup, I've had no acne or other blemishes.Given my current interest in simple and natural makeup, when an American friend sent me a Go-Natural compact to try out I was very excited at the idea that one simple product could revolutionise my makeup bag and simplify my cosmetic routine.The reality, unfortunately, was very different.At first sight the product looks good quality. The compact would look at home in any woman's makeup case, and seems to be well-suited to its purpose.I moisturised my skin, let the cream absorb for about 15 minutes, then gently brushed the powder on with the brush provided. Firstly, the brush doesn't feel very good quality. It's fairly cheap-feeling to me (I'm used to Everyday Minerals brushes) and just doesn't feel luxurious. However, in order to give the product a fair review, I kept trying.Although the powder feels fairly pleasant on the skin and has a good "slip" (it spreads well and distributes fairly evenly) it looked absolutely terrible when finished. I tried several attempts, always applying with a reasonably light hand as described on the website, but whatever I did I ended up with a dark, orangey, mask-like appearance that was nothing short of hideous.No matter what I tried, I just couldn't get this makeup to look attractive on my skin colour and tone, despite the fact that my current tan makes me a fairly "normal" colour.Two days later, I woke to find I had some cystic acne for the first time in about 5 years! I was breaking out on my chin and forehead. The only new item I had tried in the previous couple of weeks was the Go-Natural makeup, so it must have been that.Altogether, I'm very disappointed. I wanted to love this product, but just couldn't. It's sitting in my makeup drawer waiting for someone to take it off my hands.

Great Product for an Everyday Look!

I swear by this. It is so easy to use and the results are impressive. If you want just a simple look, this is the product for you. If you are after dramatic/evening makeup then you will want to use eyeliner, mascara, etc in addition to this. What I like is that the color is self adjusting so you don't have to worry if you got the right shade or not.

Affordable Luxury in A Tiny Bottle!

Listen to me ~ if you believe none of the other reviews I am here to tell you this product is a miracle! I rarely write letters to companies but this one did it for me. I had to let them know they've got the right stuff!I am 42 and have had combination skin that gets much oilier during the warmer months. This product is one that I have used for two years now exclusively as my night oil and it has become a mainstay in my cabinet.Here's the trick, though. After cleansing my face (I also use Olivella bar soap) I leave my face dripping wet. One short pump and those few drops glide over my entire face, my ears AND the front and back of my neck. It doesn't take much at all but a moist face just isn't enough. Just massage it in as your face air dries and the moisture left behind is heavenly. Not the slightest bit oily at all. And don't skip your lips. No fine lines around mine and my lipstick proves it - no more creeping into fine lines around my lips. They're smooth now.I have a tendency to be a night owl so I often don't wait until before bed to apply this wonderful elixir. If I know I'll be working late into the night, I'll apply it in the early evening and allow it to work overtime.What's ironic is that when I first started using the soap, I couldn't justify the cost of this moisturizer. It seemed far too much for such a little bit. But when I consider how much cream I had to scoop out of jars over the years, this is now an actually very inexpensive product with so much promise. I assure you whatever your complexion, your skin will thank you for adding this to the regimen.I no longer use an eye cream, no special neck cream at all - all I need is Olivella and my skin thanks me every day. Finally a product worthy of a letter and a review. Do try it and again, do not apply to merely moist or dry skin. Wetter is better and as an extra treat, when you're done, rub the residue into your cuticles. Even my manicurist is shocked over how I no longer have raggedy cuticles that I've suffered since forever.Miracle in a bottle for sure!I get it at Harmon's in my neighborhood for around $15 and change.

I have very sensitive skin and hesitated to purchase a different soap. No concerns now that I have tried it. My skin loves Olivella Face and Body Soap. Also, it produces a great lather but seems to last a very long time. I recommend this product.

very moisturizing and pleasant smell

I decided to try this brand of olive oil soap after reading the great reviews and I'm glad I did. I was using Kiss-my-face olive oil soap before and its great but I didn't really like the smell. This soap works the same as Kiss-my-face but has a better smell.

Dry itchy skin?

For the past several years my skin had become dry and itchy. I tried many different kinds and types of soaps and lotions until a friend of mine referred me to this soap. Just after one use I felt my skin improve and after my first bar my dry and itchy skin was pretty much just a memory. This was a welcome relief. I highly recommend Olivella Face and Body Soap.

Worth buying.

I really enjoy this product. Especially if you have dry skin. I gave a few away and the only complaint i got back was it didn't lather. Well, i figure it didn't lather up becuase it didn't have all those harsh chemicals in it, so that didn't bother me at all. I think it is a great product and i put a bar in each bathroom for the wonderful smell. I certainly would recommend this product to anyone.

Wonderful natural mascara

I was unable to wear mascara for several years following a serious eye infection. After spending hundreds of dollars on mascaras that made my eyes burn and water constantly, I stumbled across the Ecco Bella Botanicals. I gave it a try and was amazed at how well it worked for me. I've been wearing it for almost 3 months and had miminal problems. It does flake a little toward the end of the day, but not as much as some other mascaras and rarely irritates my eyes. I love the dark brown color, which is difficult to find in stores.I did find that I had to wipe some of the mascara off the brush with a paper towel when the tube is first opened, or the mascara will clump when applying to the lashes. Once I've used the tube for a while, the amount of mascara on the brush is better and doesn't clump. I've already ordered another tube and plan to keep it on hand.

An Excellent Mascara

I've tried almost every drugstore mascara, dept store mascara, everything at sephora, high-end, low-end, etc., and this one is my favorite. Firstly, I love the tube itself. It's very classy looking unlike some very generic and cheap looking tubes of mascara. It makes it more fun to use. Secondly, I like the formula and the brush. It's very natural looking, yet can be built up without clumping or spidery looking lashes. Also, the brush adeptly separates lashes and is easy to use ( I like a smaller brush head). It's also easy to remove and easy to reapply throughout the day without looking making lashes look hardened or crunchy. My lashes are very light and sparse, so I don't think any mascara could give me dramatic looking lashes (you actually need to have fuller lashes to begin with), so I've stopped looking for a mascara that will give "dramatic results." If that's what I wanted I would simply have to grow more lashes. Having said that, expecting realistic results from a mascara, this one is top of the line. I will repurchase. Oh, and there's also a little mirror on the back of the tube which is a nice touch. A+

the only makeup I wear

I'm pretty concerned about the chemicals in the products I use - especially products close to my eyeballs - so it's great that this is one of the safest mascaras available. However it's also the best mascara I've ever used - goes on easily (1 coat), is relatively water-resistant, the brush works well, and the color is perfect. Since I don't wear any makeup besides this, the color has to be natural enough but still make a difference and this stuff fits the bill. Hard to find in stores but that's why we have the internet.

Irritating to my eyes

I bought this mascara because I initially thought it was eco-friendly (but it has parabens) and although it was my first "natural" mascara to try, it is also the first to irritate my eyes. I do wear contacts but I have never had a mascara irritate my eyes before (I've always used drugstore brands). I gave it 2 stars because it did last all day without any residual mascara under my eyes and it only started to irritate around the 8 hour mark.

Nearly Perfect

As I have gotten older, my eyes have become very sensitive making it difficult to wear eye makeup. I have experimented with nearly every brand I could get my hands on ending up throwing yet another tube into the trash after 2 uses. I was leery of trying another mascara and resolved to just accept my "older" eyelashes just as they are. For some reason, Amazon put ecco bella's black mascara in my daily Quick Picks one day. I wasn't interested in the black mascara but the idea of trying a natural mascara was intriguing so I ordered the brown. I like it so much that I am now purchasing it through Amazon's subscribe & save feature.After using this mascara for a few months, there is only one con that I have experienced. It has a tendency to get goopy quicker than its chemical laden counter parts. For eye health and safety reasons, it is recommended that mascara be changed out every 3 months. I have found that starting a new tube every 2 months pretty much resolved the goopy issue.

I have been using Jergens Face Cream for years. I wear face make-up every day, including mascara. And Jergens does a great job of removing make-up, even mascara. This is an important product if you want to get your skin clean before you go to sleep. Just put it on your face and wipe off with a tissue, and then wash with your regular face wash products. I also find the price of Jergens Face Cream costs much less than most other make-up remover creams. So it is economical to use too.

I originally bought this for the face cream benefits. And after various experiments, I must say this is the best cream I've every purchased. I use this for face, body, hands (great hand cream), feet. I even use this on my hair and wigs. Great sheen but not thick like petrolium jelly. Shiny, soft and absorbs well. In my area I can get them for $3. Stock up!

Imagine a face cream that removes make-up and acts like a nighttime moisturizer all in one. Then imagine that it works better than the $18 department store items, and for less than 1/2 the price. It's true. This cream does the trick!The only reason that I haven't give the item 5 stars is that there are artificial ingedients in it and that it's packaged in plastic. I would love it if this cream was packaged in a nice glass jar. Maybe one day Jergens will do that? Until then, it is still a good buy since it is a full 15 oz, which is larger than most face creams, so it is almost like buying in "bulk", which minimizes packaging. All in all, it is a very effective product and I enjoy it.

In November 2007, I will turn 70 years of age. I have to thank my "best friend" over all of these years. You have always been at my side, in my suitcase, in the chorus line dressing rooms, in my studio, on ocean voyages. Some people have tried to become as good a friend to my face as you have always been. They did not succeed no matter their breeding or cost.People think I'm in my 40's. I am flattered but know it is my "best friend" my Jergen's Face Cream that should get the credit for my youthful appearance. You have to know how to use it for results

I am a make up artist and have used this foundation for 15 years. The reason why professionals love it is: It is water and sweat proof. Will not rub off on clothing. You can layer it for more coverage. You can use darker shades to even out tan lines. You can "stipple" it to cover major blemishes. It looks like real skin and it has silicone in it so it smooths out lines and pock marks.I recommend it be blended with a sponge (the MUFE sponge is wonderful)and if you want a matte look, use a kleenex to blot so the dewiness disappears and you have a matte finish.I have tried everything and like some other foundations for my skin for different effects, BUT for my clients, this foundation is reliable. I know I will have a finish most like real skin and it will never run, smear, separate or rub off the skin.

was skeptical but so impressed after

I've been reading about makeup forever being really good but only recently did I finally try it myself. This foundation tested so sheer on my hand that i was skeptical if it would cover anything on my face at all. But when i did use it finally on my face, I was hugely impressed! it goes on very sheer, not heavy, evens out skintone, covers my pores and redness, YET i still look like im mot wearing any real makeup at all! Amazing! the color of the foundation looks darker while in the bottle, but once it goes on your skin, it lightens and melds into your own skintone. It lasts all day too! my skin stays even toned til midnight with barely any touch-up (i just touch up for shine around my nose, but for add'l coverage, its not necessary) This is the best one ive ever used and is definitely a keeper.

The best foudation I have ever used

I found this brand after having a makeover done and while I do not usually buy what they put on my face, I simply could not resist this one. My skin looked so healthy and had this gorgeous glow to it. Throughout that day, I kept sneaking peeks in mirrors to see if it was caking, settling into fine lines or otherwise failing. It did nothing of the sort. It says it is made for long-wear, suitable for wearing in heat (it really is sweatproof) and can be used on the body as well. It has a gel-like consistency that feels incredibly refreshing. However, that same texture that feels so great also makes it have less of a slip than most moisturizing foundations so make sure you work quickly when you apply it. the color choices can be confusing although mine is dead-on. I would suggest the first time you purchase it to go to a store and try it out to make sure you get the right tone and shade. As far as price goes, I am on my third bottle in almost three years. Talk about getting bang for your buck!

Longlasting and invisible

Not sure about this product

I bought this makeup based on the previous positive reviews. I was really surprised at how thin it was. I was expecting liquid makeup, but this stuff is watery thin and I don't feel like it covers as well as previous reviewers have stated. This is the first time I've splurged on truly expensive makeup, but I've honestly gotten better coverage with products bought from the cosmetic aisle in Wal Mart. Will definitely be looking for another brand in the future.

First makeup that works for me

I live in the tropics in Asia. I live mostly outdoors, I surf, I paddle and I play hard since and I'm a mom of four. Makeup does not stay on me. It always looks sloppy or overdone. I shy away from cheap brands because I'm wary of the toxicity, so over the years I've wasted a lot of money into makeup that didn't work. I've also tried the natural/organic Sephora brands. This IQ Natural 16pc beginner kit was completely effortless. I have very dark rings under my eyes due to the heat and the sun and the I used the lighter base powder and the concealer brush included to hide the dark pigment around the eye, and for the first time it worked. The rings were gone. The rest of the makeup worked amazingly well and looked so natural. I'm 44 and I've tried makeup for at least 25 yrs and for me this brand is a breakthrough. Thank you IQ Natural!

First time mineral attempt - I liked it

Never tried mineral makeup before but followed the directions and it goes on well. I needed to spend more money to get super saver shipping and this was less expensive than other mineral makeup so I got it.I was nervous about not getting the "brand names" out there but the fact that this is all natural and has the ingredients that you're supposed to have in mineral makeup (and doesn't have fillers to my knowledge) makes it a good starter kit to buy. I use MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Microperfecting Primer beforehand and that makes it last all day. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was that some of the eye shadow and one of the blush's included in this set had too much sparkle for my taste for daytime looks. But the other blush, the foundations and concealers, mineral veil and brushes are all good. Comes with a nice traveling case for makeup and one for brushes, too.
