What expect:
He Ba) Giang (Quang This is a walk that supports sustainable local communities in a region in need of northern province of Ha Giang extreme.

Quan Ba district remains one of the poorest districts in Vietnam. Located in the remote region rocky limestone mountainous Ha Giang, the northernmost province of Vietnam. 97% of the local population are persons belonging to minorities' - Hmong, Dao, Tay, Nung, Giay, and Bo Y. Most speak their own language, which have not yet written scripts.

Caritas Switzerland and Caritas Luxembourg are two charities that have entered into a development partnership with the district People's Committee. Caritas agencies are intended to support a development process "to create livelihood sustainable for the poor and the poorest communities. The project began in mid-2003, and included support for sustainable agriculture, forest gardens, both domestic water supply, adult literacy, indigenous cultures, improved stoves, and responsible tourism.
The villagers have prepared a simple code of conduct "Green Trail Tours to consider before your visit to demonstrate its commitment to protect local culture and environment. By participating in this way come a Green Tours will directly support the livelihoods of the communities they visit.

Bac Ha This exciting trip offers a genuine experience of remote villages untouched the border province of Lao Cai. The dramatic landscapes, picturesque villages nestled in the foothills of the Mountains Phin Thang, and colorful ethnic minority groups may capture the heart of any lover of adventure. Start at Lao Cai and walk along the border with China through Muong Khuong remote valley H'mong, Tay and Nung ethnic minority villages. Climbing and Ha Bac Can Cau see colorful markets Saturday and Sunday, more vibrant in the province, where hundreds of hill tribes from different groups get together to exchange their goods. End of a difficult journey with a boat trip through the picturesque Chay River.

What are the main and vaccination procedures against health?
Before traveling, consult a general practitioner for a maximum date advice on recommended vaccines and malaria prophylaxis. Is there anything I can do to better prepare for situations that require first aid?
All guides have basic first aid training and carry a small first aid kit. But every client must also bring identification Personal first aid kit including antiseptic wipes, antiseptic liquid / cream, Steristrips, sterile gauze and a bandage and oral envelopes of dehydration.

What about the weather?
The climate is warm and humid throughout with some variations between the North and South. The south is tropical and warm throughout the year. Hanoi is cooler from November to February, with a marked wet season in the Midwest from September and October. For cycling, September, October, November, March, April and May are the best times? not so hot and dry enough! Be prepared for anything however. (That? S part of the fun.)

What equipment do I need?
The goal is to keep cool during hot weather warm in cold weather. Plan accordingly. Basic items are lightweight hiking boots, water bottle, eye protection, light shirt and trousers waterproof jacket, mosquito repellent, hat, shorts, sandals, sheet sleeping bag, strong sunscreen, torch, towel, fleece; small daypack biodegradable toiletries, swimming gear. All these things are essential.

What I can do to improve safety on my trip?
Safety is our most important consideration. Be aware that trekking can be dangerous and accidents can happen. Never much can be done to take care of yourself. Always notify the guide if you feel bad about everything in height. And if you do not know, ask?

What are the accommodations?
We offer tents for two people with the edge of land in sheets and mosquito nets in the Northwest. Accommodation is mostly in homes local family in the village. Here the family can provide a simple mattress, mosquito net, pillow, sheets and blanket. Or in the case of more remote locations, bedding will be provided by TITC. The houses are usually on stilts with a bamboo floor? Surprisingly comfortable! The facilities are clean but very basic.

What type of transport and support are available?
All equipment and luggage will be carried by porters or by jeep. Please try to keep the luggage with a minimum weight. Often, a cook will accompany the tour. Depending on the nature of the walk, there will be air-conditioned bus, minibus or jeep for transfer between destinations.

Are these tours support responsible travel?
Yes! Try to ensure these holidays are as socially, economically and environmentally sound manner possible. We are affiliated members of the Environmental Certification Green Globe 21 Scheme. Day 1: Hanoi - Lao Cai

Arrive Hanoi. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the Casco Viejo. Located in an area of 100 ha, Casco Viejo is home to over 1,000 traditional homes has 36 streets on behalf of merchants Specific crafts and trade. Overnight on board the train to Lao Cai (D).

Day2: Lao Cai - Bac Ha

Drive through the famous market town of Bac Ha and outside it and one of the highest road pass in Vietnam. This is a full day in the car, although there is no time to get bored as the scenery is truly breathtaking. (D, A, D)

It Bac Hoang - C: Day3 Phi - Ha Giang

Leaving Bac has gone on a full day trip for the sin of man and Hoang Your PHI to the city Ha Giang. The rough but scenic route runs through a dense jungle before crossing a pass and drop to the sin of man. This day is a challenge for our driver while we traveled the winding roads with many ups and downs hill units. Day 4: Ha Giang - Khau Lan

9:00 a.m. You have the opportunity to participate in a guided tour in the museum of Ha Giang, followed by an early lunch.
12.30 am. The guides will pick you up at the hotel and travels through the transfer to the commune in Tien Quyet Center. There you will walk about 3 hours to Khau Lan village, passing through green rice fields, little villages and beautiful forests. In Khau Lan - Dao town, which meet the leader of the people and their host families.
Near 18:30. All tour members will have a family dinner and later to split the night into three or four different families. (D, A, D)

Day 5: Khau Lan Trekking

Khau Lan is a small village of Dao people. You have the opportunity only to share the daily life of your host family, which may include work in the fields, fetching wood, cutting grass for livestock and cooking meals. Depending on activity, lunch at various places on the outskirts of town.
After another local meal for dinner, you can spend the evening sitting together around a fire, arguing and laughing with the locals, you'll spend another night at the host family of your. (D, A, D)

Day6: Lan Khau - Tan Lang

After breakfast and farewell to the hosts, take another way back to Quyet Tien commune center through beautiful caves, streams and forests. The transfer of the city bring Quan Ba District, which is about 2 hours to take a shower and relax in the guest house district or stroll through the small town.

About 2 hours. Your guides will pick you up to travel through the transfer of Thanh Van Commune. After a short walk (30 minutes) arrives in the village of Tan Lang.
Tan Lang is a small village in the Hmong. The village is situated in the rugged mountains that make it difficult rice planting. In order to increase their income, the villagers developed a special wine maize production.
Having reached the village leader and his second host family, then there are plenty of free time to walk in the beautiful town and meet people. In the afternoon the group will enjoy a local dinner and sleep Hmong-style homes. (D, A, D)

Day 7: Trekking Tan Lang

On this day can choose one of two options:
option01: Includes a walk of 5-6 hours, to the extent so unexplored territory. Together with Footprint guide and a local pioneer which walk over hills and forests, villages and people from ethnic Hmong to Can Ty Dao Commune where the transfer is expected of you. The car takes you through beautiful countryside to the city Van Dong, visiting the vestige of Hmong kingdom in the path.
option02: Includes a longer stay in the village of Tan Lang local people looking to produce wine of corn instead of trekking over. In the afternoon, transfer picks you up and carries you to Van Dong, where you will find with the rest of the group.
About 6.30 pm. All members of the verification mission, in a small hotel in Dong Van and dine at a local restaurant. (D, A, D)

Day8: Lang Tan - passing Meo Vac Quan Ba

The transfer will take you through a beautiful rolling countryside and stunning mountains and steep valleys leading to Dong Van Meo Vac district. This is the most remote corner of Vietnam, where traditional life ethnic minorities is the most vivid and colorful. After lunch at Yen Minh City, the cars will take you to Hop Tien town.

In Tien Hop you can visit a cannabis cooperative, where local people to explain and demonstrate the traditional hemp production (including dyeing with dyes natural fabric and decoration).
Around 17:30. You will travel back to Quan Ba town, which protect the comfortable guest house district.
At 6.30 pm we go to dinner at a local restaurant before spending the night in the guesthouse. (D, A, D)

Day9: Quang Ba Trekking

After a local breakfast which will take time to visit the colorful market in the city of Quan Ba. In this market you will see people of different ethnic minority groups, who walked all the way from their mountain villages to Quan Ba town, in order to exchange goods and meet other people.
12:00 hours. You will have a dinner at a local restaurant in Quan Ba town. 18:30 Dinner at a local restaurant in Quan Ba town and overnight at the guest house of the district. (D, A, D)

Day10: Quang Ba - Hanoi

Day11: Hanoi - Departure
