Organic Pillows: Why It So Important To Use Natural Pillows Instead Synthetic?

Did you get tired to fight your allergies? Simply begin with your pillow. Change your down or synthetic pillow to a natural one. Why? According to the American College of Asthma, Allergy & Immunology, approximately 10 percent of Americans exhibit allergic sensitivity to dust mites. Dust mites love down pillows. At the same time cotton and polyester blend pillows can harbor bacteria, mold and mildew once they become wet. Pillow is next to your face all night long and we spend a third of our life sleeping. So it is better to choose a natural pillow, which is contains no chemicals, pesticides, harsh dyes or other toxins.

Choosing natural pillows means choosing a healthy sleeping environment for you and for you beloved. It will help to provide you better nights sleep and it will promote healthy respiratory function. And even more! All natural pillow can also slow down wrinkle formation.

Here you have to decide what filling you prefer better. You might want either vegan pillow or wool one. If we are talking about vegan pillow, it is usually would be cotton pillow, natural latex pillow, kapok pillow. Lets discuss those pillows in details.

Our all vegan organic cotton pillows are filled with 0 certified organic cotton and covered with a soft European organic cotton outer fabric. Organic cotton is cotton from non-genetically modified plants, that was grown without use of pesticides and synthetic fertilizers what can end up in the air, water, ground and food supply. All cotton sold as organic in the USA must meet special requirements which are regulated by National Organic Program from USDA covering how the cotton is grown.

Organic Latex Rubber pillows are becoming very popular. They come in different forms and shapes in order to provide most comfortable rest: Natural Shredded Latex Pillows, Natural Molded Latex Pillows or Natural Contour Latex Pillows. Many people choose natural Latex products over synthetic memory foam, which is made with chemicals and petroleum based ingredients.

Where does Natural Latex comes from? Natural Latex is made of the latex which is extracted from ducts of actual rubber tree (Hevea Brasiliensis) from Sri-Lanka under organic guidelines and is manufactured to the purest level possible without the addition of harsh chemicals, pesticides and other abrasives.. The botanical-derived Latex is known to be naturally:

•anti-microbial

•dust mite resistant

•mildew resistant

•hypo-allergenic

•flame retardant

0 Vegan Kapok Pillows feel like silk! Our kapok pillows come from the flower of a tall fruit tree. This fiber is very similar to silk making the pillow feel soft inside. It compresses easily and rebounds slowly, preventing pressure on the ear. Covered in our fancy European Organic Cotton Damask for an attractive and durable pillow. Also available in our budget version with soft organic cotton sateen outer.

Many people prefer Organic Wool Pillows due to it's great characteristics. Organic wool is wool which is produced in accordance with federal standards for organic livestock production. The finest organic wool comes from Merino sheep from New Zealand and Australia. 0 organic wool is naturally: moisture absorbent (is able to absorb up to 1/3 of it's own weight), fire retardant (wool has low rate of flame spread and low heat of combustion), heat retainer (wool has ability to insulate and retain air without blocking air circulation), static electricity resistant (wool is able to absorb moisture and then this moisture conducts static electricity), mildew and mite resistant, hypoallergenic, completely breathable.

Is there really a difference between expensive shampoo and the cheap stuff?

Is it any healthier for your hair to buy the expensive shampoo at the salon or like herbal essences or pantene? I don't think I can tell much difference myself unless its like really cheap crappy shampoo. Herbal essences seems to work well for me, but if its better to use the expensive kinds i would consider it.
I just thought of this because I see that Bumble and Bumble shampoo in the store for like 20$ A BOTTLE! and its not a big bottle by any means. Is it really worth that much money, I mean it smells good, but to spend 40$ on shampoo and conditioner is kind of outrageous in my opinion.
And what about the all natural organic kinds? Do you think those are healthier to use?

I've noticed a huge difference between the cheap drugstore brands and the more expensive brands. I think their are better quality ingredients in the salon brands. I've stopped using the cheapies altogether.

I'm not sure if you've tried some salon brands or not. In one sentence you insinuate that you have and then you say you haven't. Just like everything you buy, every salon brand won't work for your hair, so you have to try different brands to find which works for yours. I've tried Yes to Carrots, Giovanni, Dove, Pantene, and some of the other brands, including the real cheapies like V05. Dove and Pantene are the worst for my hair.

My favorite salon brands are the Wen cleansing conditioner and Carol's Daughter products. Yes, my hair is healthier after using Wen. Wen is natural and it's also a patent product. It's a no-shampoo line of products. Not sure about Carol's Daughter. Some of the cheapies I've mentioned are natural and organic. Wen is expensive, too. It's $30 for a 16oz bottle of cleansing conditioner, but it's well worth it. Oprah's hairstylist recommended in an interview that women buy the most expensive brand they can afford if they want to keep their hair healthy. Ojon, which is another natural brand I want to try is also expensive. I've seen a bottle of his shampoo and conditioner go for close to $100. I've also seen similar prices for Purology shampoo and conditioner. Ojon has a line that uses ingredients that's only available on a seasonal basis, so that increases the price.

It sounds outrageous...until you use it and find that it truly is superior. You can try Wen because it offers a full money back guarantee if you don't like it - even if you use up all the product.
