South Shore Skin Center Announces New Product Line at their Plymouth Spa

Known as "The Skin Care Make-Up", Jane Iredale's high quality line includes Paraben-free and Phthalate-free mineral make-up as well as natural sunscreens.

Jane Iredale minerals are formulated with titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, which have anti-inflammatory properties and also provide instant, broad-spectrum, chemical-free sun protection.

The products contain no chemical dyes, chemical preservatives or perfume.  They are non-comedogenic and oil-free.

Is After Glow cosmetics a good makeup line?

Is it a better mineral makeup line than Jane Iredale?

I tried Afterglow and didn't love it. My skin handled it fine, no negative reactions, but the colors lacked depth, they were almost gone as soon as I put them on. Very flat, very matte, almost lifeless. I tried Larenim (which I found at a local health food store, but you can also find online) and I am extremely happy with their product. It is light, with good coverage and the colors are beautiful. Other mineral lines (like Bare Minerals) have a natural ingredient called bismuth oxychloride (see http://ezinearticles.com/?Mineral-Makeup-and-Bismuth-Oxychloride&id=68978) and it irritates my skin. Larenim (and Afterglow also) does not contain that ingredient.

I have tried their blush, foundation, finishing powder and eye shadows.

The great thing about both Larenim AND Afterglow is that you can purchase small, inexpensive samples of all their products to test out for a few uses and find out what colors work best for you, and how you like it. I did that with both lines and that is how I came to choose the Larenim.
