Choosing the right color

With so many shades of lipstick available in all department stores and cosmetics, which can be difficult to decide which one to pick. Just because you like a particular color does not mean that suit them. So how do you know what colors are best for you?

As a general guide, remember:

* Fair skin tones are flattered by blue-red hue, light pink, honey, mocha and beige with touches pink.
* Medium skin tones look good in shades of red, pink and brown mocha brown through to Caramel.
* The darker skin as red brown and plums, pure pink, pink-glossed beige and virtually any shade of brown.

Once you've found the color that is bang-on target, that is almost finished - but not quite! The trick lies in the application.

Lips can never be too fat. Well. almost never. So if you feel you have more than their share of the lips, this is what you can do:

Define your lips with a lipstick by lining only within the natural lip line.
* Fill in with lipstick color of your lipstick. It is always advisable to use a brush.
* Use a dark matte lipstick like these make lips appear thinner. Bright lipsticks give an illusion of fullness, so stay away from them.
* Dab your lips with a little dust, to tone down. Et voila! That's all for a night on the town!

So who said the sex appeal too much is bad for health? If you are looking to get hot, in-your-face, the lips that really stand out, here's what to do:

* Apply the lipstick just out of line the lips or on the outer edge. Whatever you do, do not try to make the lips look thicker through the development of an artificial scheme outside their natural line lips.
* Follow with lipstick. Shade can be lighter than the lipstick. This gives the illusion of depth.
* Use matte shades, and load on the brightness. Stay away from matte lipsticks, or continue with a touch of brightness.

Natural lipstick or gloss? What is good?

I am looking for a natural lipstick or gloss that gives a good amount of pigment (especially a nice brown color). Does anyone have any suggestions?
