I've been going crazy reading all the information from various resources and feel so overwhelmed. Most ingredients are said to be cause cancer, are toxic and not safe for use on the skin for long periods! HELP! Am I going to the top? I'm 25 years old and had no idea of these chemicals found in all major brands. Honestly, you should have thrown thousands of dollars of product! Is there anything safe? Even "natural" products I looked into are labeled as negative side effects b / c the FDA does not regulate the sale and production of cosmetics and their ingredients al. For example Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 has been in 6 of 10 on the scale of danger! Uhhh!

I recently did the same! I read this book called The Beauty Bible by Paula Begoun and listed therein chemicals that are not even close to the skin as the lists of what ingredients should be top 5. Also, as you noted, the FDA has no nothing to regulate business cosemetic add to your products! They can do whatever they want. One company still uses the lab results they got in the 80!
