Healthy Skin

This cream makes my skin feel smooth without any greasiness. The odor is not strong but I find it pleasant. I have been using this product for two weeks and already notice a decrease in wrinkles. Before I started using this cream my skin was very dry with some redness. The condition of my skin has improved significantly in a very short period of time; the redness is gone and my skin feels soft and supple. I highly recomend this product for anyone with dry red skin.

Smells bad

Even if this product worked I just couldn't get past the smell long enough to know for sure. I'm going to try it on my hands next just to see if it works but I sure can't recommend this product if you want to use it anywhere near your nose.

Improves Fine Lines And Evens Out Skin Discolorations

I am over 50 years old and have been using this product for several years now. It's the only thing I have found that smoothes out the forehead wrinkles and lines between the eyebrows. My skin appears firmer. It gives my skin an even tone and fades skin discolorations from acne. Yes ... unfortunately people over 50 can still have acne. I think it compares favorably in quality, results and cost to the Perricone line of products that contain the same ingredients. It gave me results that were far better than more expensive face and wrinkle creams. It's my "go to" cream for repairing my aging and acne prone skin. I will continue to buy it and recommend it to others.

I have been using this particular product or a related product (like the DMAE cream) for about 2 years and find it to be especially good at helping with mild sun damage in summer and the dry, tired skin I get in winter.The manufacturer recently changed their usage recommendation. They now say it should be used at night. It was recommended as a daily moisturizer. I still use it that way, although it does make me a bit shiny.Pleasant smell. Lasts all day. Good for day or night. All in all it's a great product.

Totally wonderful

I picked up some bottles to replace my daily face protection, as I was concerned about the chemicals used in my old, name-brand UV moisturizer. The packaging of this product is a heavy, attractive glass bottle with a manual pump, and it puts out just a tiny amount per pump to do about a cheek and some of your nose. Its not fragrant at all, so now my husband uses it as well when outdoors. Recently my husband was outside tending the lawn in bright, cloudless sunlight in a muscle shirt + baseball cap around noon for about 2+ hours (he is Caucasian with blue eyes and light skin, so I always bother him about sunscreen) and no redness at all. At all!I love everything about this product, except its price (and the pump button, which sometimes springs off). I will say, though, that a little bit of this product goes a long way. It simply glides on effortlessly and disappears, and since it is a physical block (zinc oxide) rather than chemical, it is effective immediately. Chemical UV blockers, Im told, mix in with your skin's chemistry to afford a UV block, a chemical process that can take up to half an hour to get up to strength. Plus such a process involving questionable chemical additives going on under my skin gives me the creeps! This product doesn't do any of that, which is why I bought it.Personally, Im amazed at how good this product is, and how unobtrusive and utterly benign it is to the skin, and how well the UV block works, and how easy it is to use. Those other daily UV moisturizers, all those over-marketed name-brands, can't begin to compare with this product on any point, except price perhaps.Its expensive, yes, but overall, given its excellent coverage ability and effectiveness, its a best-in-class buy in my book.

Too Much Irony-- Too Little Product

I have very, very sensitive skin, and I get hives with sun exposure. I learned about this product about a year ago on the Environmental Working Group website. It was rated as being pure and not containing many of the bad-for-you chemicals found in other sunscreen products. I purchased the product and was thrilled. It was not messy, or greasy and it kept me from having sun-related outbreaks. I didn't much like the plastic packaging though. It was bulky and could not be recycled, so when I saw that the packaging had been changed to glass, my initial thought was "good" and I purchased some as usual. When I looked at the package though, I realized that I was being charged the same for 1.7 ounces of product as I had formerly been charged for 2 ounces. That caught my attention, so I read the package, which featured a testimonial from the founder of Devita who stated that she had major skin problems herself, and had created Devita products because she couldn't find affordable products that were pure. Since I had just been charged a fairly hefty sum for .3 ounces less of product, this struck me as rather ironic. Eventually, I found that not only did the container hold less, but the pump device would not pump out all of the product when the bottle was getting empty. Over time I have become fairly good at getting out the dregs of products, but this container has me stymied. The moisturizer is so thick that it does not fall down to the cap end, even if you shake it or leave the bottle upside down for long periods of time. The bottle is so long and narrow that you cannot dig out the last 1/5 of the bottle. So, I figure that I am really getting about 1.5 ounces of product for the same price as the former 2 ounces. My guess is that this company has profited by the good rating that it got from the Environmental Working Group, so now it feels that customers who like the product will pay whatever they are charged. I continue to like the product, but I will be seriously searching for a replacement.

New Packaging is a Problem

I love this skin cream--most sun screen products get into my eyes, causing stinging and excessive eye watering, while this cream does not. However,the pump on the new container broke on my first attempt to use it. I had to unscrew the pump top and now I'm using the rest of the pump as a "dip stick" to get the cream out to apply to my face. I won't order it again unless Devita reverts to the original jar or some other container.

perfect look and feel for my skin

I chose this moisturizer because of its top rating on the EWG sunscreen list. As a Floridian, I'm very particular about the look (white sheen) and feel (greasy, chalky) of sunscreens. The product as it arrived is in different packaging than the photo accompanying it on Amazon. This product is silky, smooth, non-whitening, and light on my skin. After about two weeks of use, I've noticed no negative change in my skin's balance or appearance. In fact, as someone who is used to drug store products for daily sunscreens, this product is far superior. I highly recommend it and will continue to keep it on my bathroom shelf all year.

This is the best cream I have ever used. I use it on my cuticles and on my face. It is not greasy and just leaves your skin hydrated and healthy looking. I have oily skin and I can use it on my face on the dryer parts. It will NOT make you break out. It actually does just what the name of it says: it is skin FOOD. Try it. You'll like it! :o)

Nothing better for Eczema

My daughter has had horrible eczema since she was born. Everything must be fragrance free and her regular treatments always consisted of topical steroidal cream. Not anymore!! I can not say enough about this product. I no longer use any steroidal cream and her skin looks better than it did when I used the prescriptions. As for the smell - we love it. This is the only "smelly" thing my young daughter can wear and she begs to put it on. I also use the Weleda Baby wash since it is the only soap she can use without having a bad reaction to it. If you or your child has skin issues - I would highly recommend this cream. It's expensive, but worth every penny!

Great for Baby's eczema

I have tried a lot of products to help my baby's eczema. I even tried Weleda's Baby line of lotions to no avail. Weleda's Skin Food worked really well though. Since the product is somewhat expensive, I bought the small travel size for $2.00 at Target before I bought the full size version. I would recommend the same for others looking for a product to help with really dry skin.

Very well made. Smells nice. Asorbs right into skin and doesn't leave an oily feeling. Good stuff! Made in Germany a plus as well. Dispenser could use some re-engineering though, perhaps a flip open cap instead of the current screw cap.

Didnt work for what I bought it for, but...

I was told to use Vitamin E oil on my post-acne marks(little red dots left from acne.) This exact brand of Vitamin E oil was in a magazine that said it would heal/fade post-acne marks. I bought the product and used it on my post-acne marks for about two months. I didnt see a difference at all in my marks. So of course I thought this was just another product that's going to go to waste. But before I was going to throw it away, I put it on my hands to see if it would work on my dry hands. It did! It made my hands so soft and smooth. I love this stuff now! It gives my body a pretty glow and it makes my legs have that silky smooth look. Now I'm glad I bought it, it really is a wonderful product. I no longer use lotion, I only use my Jason's vitamin E oil now!

Just what I needed!

Dry winter skin calls for something extra, and this beauty oil was just the thing. It has a gentle scent and absorbs easily, to prevent chapped lips and minimize wrinkles around the eyes. The price was right, too!

This is a great product! I love using Vitamin E oil and natural oils instead of lotion, because lotions are very drying due to the alcohol in them. This oil was great and less expensive than many of the others I've seen.

Fades Scars and Moisturizes Skin

I was skeptical to try an oil on my already quite oily skin, but I only use this product at night-time after washing my face with Aveeno clear complexion soap bar. In as little as 3 days, I noticed that 3 of my very persistent acne scars had gradually and significantly lightened and it even helped speed up the healing of blemishes! My skin is very dry at night due to my drying soap, but with this product it has helped moisturize my skin and when I wake up in the morning-- I notice that my skin is much clearer and smoother. I love this and will forever use it!

Great for dry skin

I have been using Jason's vitamin E oil for a long time and living in a dry area and in my 70's this has really helped to smooth and make my skin so much softer. I only have used it on my face. I was glad to see I could be this online since our small town does not carry it anymore.

"Fragrance Free" type

I noted some said there is a "menthol" scent. FYI - there is "fragrance free" also. Try that. ~~ I have severe eczema on my hands. Have to where "latex" gloves all the time for work. I'm not allergic to latex, but possibly the "alcohol" in the gloves, so...my hands are cut and bleed and crack. Very painful. I must agree this product is greasy. I have to wipe it from the palms of my hands to do anything. I had to wipe it off my fingertips to type this. I've had it on for about 15 minutes and it is still on the surface of my hands. It does burn my cuts for some time after applying (still burning a little - but most lotions do) but.....with all this being said, it does give my hands relief. I actually like that it is still somewhat on the surface of my skin as I can continue to massage it into the severe dry skin, cracks etc., and really work it in. If it soaked in immediately, I would probably have to continuously reapply. As I'm finishing this review, only 2 of my severest cuts are still burning a little, but the rest of my hands feel marvelous. Enjoy this product. It would probably feel amazing on folks who are lucky enough to have normal hands. :)

Best Dry Skin Lotion

I recently tried Curel, St. Ives, and Aveeno lotions for extra dry skin (in that order).Curel: Made my skin feel trapped. My arms especially would feel really hot because the lotion didn't let my skin breathe.St. Ives: This one felt a lot better, but it seemed kind of thin. I would squeeze a bunch out and I could barely spread it over one arm or leg. It also didn't seem to really absorb well, but just disappear somehow.Aveeno: Definitely my favorite. It is really creamy and feels so nice to put all over my body, not just on my dry skin. It also absorbs quickly and made my skin soft.If you are thinking about any of these brands or just need dry skin lotion and don't know where to begin, choose Aveeno!

Not greasy OR mentholated

This is a great lotion, particularly for eczema sufferers. Not sure where the one reviewer got the idea that this lotion is greasy or menthol-- it's neither. It doesn't really have much of a scent at all. My whole family, and in particular my two young boys, all have eczema and this works great to keep it under control. We use it mornings and in the evening after bath time and can mostly keep them off prescription medications like Elidel and Elicon. Highly recommended!

Amazing!

All I can say is: Aveeno does it again!Aveeno never seems to fail my skin and many others'. My skin reacts well and can really feel the soothing effects. I have some itching problems (not as bad as Eczema), and it does a good job giving moisture without too much oil.Overall, I cannot complain much. Once the lotion touches your skin, you will want more! Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion with Natural Colloidal Oatmeal, 8 oz is also a good lotion I use for my skin and when I got out. (You always need SPF to have healthy skin)Anyway, buy with confidence and smooth skin!

Incredible relief for dry, itchy, flaky painful skin

One of the biggest annoyances of Diabetes is the dry skin that often comes with it. For years, I suffered dry itchy skin, never able to find relief from any product. And yes, I have tried them all, from the cheapest to the most expensive. One day, I saw a bottle of Aveeno Skin Relief on sale and thought, "Well, it's on sale, so I will give it a try". Within a couple days, not only was my skin no longer dry and flaky, but the itchiness was all gone. I don't use it all over everyday, but I love it so much that is has actually replaced my daily facial moisturizer. As soon as I step out of the shower, I reach for the Aveeno Skin Relief, and give my face an all-over before blotting my face dry with a towel. The difference in my skin is remarkable; friends and co-workers even comment on how nice my skin looks. Best of all, I don't have to deal with my face drying out during the day before I get home from work. A bottle lasts me 4-5 months, and frankly, I feel like I'm worth spending the $35-$40 a year for softer, healthier, more comfortable skin. Another positive for me is that this formula is fragrance free, and since I've always had a problem with reactions to fragrances (in lotions, detergents, etc...), it is nice to find a product that I don't have to deal with that issue. I've tried other Aveeno lotions (such as the calming cream & the daily moisturizer) with less than spectaculor results, but this particular formula is just very good and worth every penny.

Wonderful Product that Works!

I started out with the Dr. Perricone eye lift kit because it was recommended highly to me by a friend. Included in the kit is a DVD that goes over the benefits of DMAE, C-Esther and Alpha Lipolic Acid. I've been using the kit - I'm on my second one - for 4 months and it has made a huge difference in the depth of the lines around my eyes, taken away the dark circles and improved the texture of my eye area noticeably. I wanted to try other Perricone products but they are VERY expensive. Therefore, I went looking for alternatives.I found Skin Eternal Serum at Whole Foods and noticed a difference in my skin tone and texture within 3 weeks. Along with a simple neck exercise, It has helped to firm an area of my neck that was beginning to sag to the point that I now have smooth skin. Amazon has such a great price on it along with a larger bottle size that I switched over to buying it here. I did not mind the smell as the results are worth the five or so minutes that I notice the scent. For such an inexpensive product, the resulting toning, brightness and firmness of my skin has been amazing. I'm 43 and have red hair and very fair skin that has a tendency to show age quickly so this was a wonderful find.I now use the Skin Eternal cream at night, the serum in the morning along with my sunscreen and take the Skin Eternal tablets. I think the combination has really made an amazing difference and I'm now sold on this product - not to mention saving $$$$$ as an alternate to Dr. Perricone's line.

I have been using this product for almost a year and love it. I only use it on the dry areas of my face and neck and use it very sparingly. A bottle can last a year if used right.

Overwhelming Coconut Scent

If you don't mind smelling like suntan lotion or a pina coloda on your face all day, then this is for you. The fragrance never dissipates and inserts the scent over anything you eat or drink all day. Think coconut latte, coconut pizza. On the label, the fragrance is in the middle of the ingredients. I certainly don't want more coconut and kiwi extract than the stuff that's actually supposed to be helping my skin. Get Reviva's DMAE gel. That's about all that's in there and no smell.

I have been using this product for a few months now and I can't imagine being without it! It goes on a bit greasy, and I got used to the smell but it makes my skin glow and it helps with lines as well. I've even put a few drops in some olive oil which I use as an after shower moisturizer. I love this stuff!

Allergic Reaction

In my mid-fifties I developed an allergy to 14 and 18 carate gold. Now it's a few years later and I can't use many sunblocks because of the chemicals that deflect the sun's rays. My derm. recommended using a zinc oxide base and it's great. Well it now appears that I also have a problem with something in Source Naturals Skin Eternal. While my issue doesn't negatively reflect on the product I thought someone might benefit from my experience.

started using this cream as an alternative to taking the DMAE supplements pills. Well, I can tell you the results are wonderful. As an adult, my skin was ok, with the occational acne break out, but since I've been using the cream, my skin is sooooo smooth and refreshed and its really beautiful. BUT, as a woman of color it did "lighten" my skin which is the down side. However, it will only lighten your skin to your natural complextion since your face is exposed to the sun more. So expect, for example that your face will lighten to the complextion of your skin underneath clothing. Its a very natural change, not too dramatic but something I did not expect or want.So I've changed my routine, and only apply it at night and use a different moisturizer during the day. Other than that, my skin is gorgeous and I'm very happy with how my skin looks. Good luck!

Special Potion!

After using this for two weeks, I am more than convinced that this is the one product I will not do with out! I am seriously sold. I should know because I have been using skin firming creams and other anti-aging products from a plethora of high end companies. You name it and it is in my bathroom cabinet. I have never been so thrilled as I am after using this for only 2 weeks! I have used other products from Source Naturals and been pleased, but this one cream is far and above anything else. I think the price is downright reasonable also. I suspect that one jar should last 3 months. I will be back to update about how long this lasts after my first jar runs out. Also, I use this in the morning as well as before bedtime as pre makeup moisturizer and my Bare Escentuals looks great.

Comparable to High-Priced Creams!

I recently tried a Lancome firming cream priced at $90.00. It was an excellent cream, but I didn't want to pay $90.00 for a one-month supply. I heard that DAME is good at firming the skin, and I found this one on-line. I absolutely love it!!!!!! It does as good a job as the Lancome high-priced cream at firming the skin... I use it on my neck and face during the day and it smells great too!I wouldn't be without it..

After several weeks, I have great improvement. I highly recommend this product! I have my daughters on it too and their younger skin loves it. You will see a difference. A little is all you need too.

The only night cream I use...

I've been using this as a night cream for a couple of years now. I bought it after seeing a special on PBS about the ingredients in it being really great for aging skin. I'm 36 and everyone always says there's no way I look that old...could it be the cream? OR are people just being kind? who knows...but I like it and I like the kiwi-ish smell (and I'm one who is usually averse to most fragrances).

I have been using this for about 7 years and am so happy with the results I have gotten. I am 56 years old and get alot of compliments on how young my skin looks. Plus I do try and live a healthy life most of the time. Please try this before you spend alot of money on products that don't give the great results that this one does.

I have used several bottles of this product since 2005. It is very light and absorbs quickly. It is the best and the least expensive of hyaluronic serum I have found.

Source Naturals Skin Eternal Hyaluronic Serum is amazing. I have worked at three different department store cosmetic counters and nothing I have bought there can touch this serum.(I have tried many expensive serums from many different lines.) I have been trying to reduce the lines between my eyebrows... my mommy lines. This serum makes them plump up and my skin looks fresh and young. I even use it on my cleavage lines. My skin looks tight and happy. You can't use it too close to your eyes of course but I get it as close as my eyes will let me. The ingredients are wonderful and you can feel it working(a slight tingle). My skin is on the sensitive side so I do not use a toner when using this serum. One layer is all you need. My husband and 15 year old daughter noticed right away. I love this serum.

Great product except for...

I love this product and my skin is soft and looks more hydrated. I do agree with the previous reviewer that if you have combo skin it may not be the best product for daily use. This is why I use this product every other day. I also am not keen on the smell and this is why I gave it 4 stars only. I use this product with DMAE and the Glycolic /35 peel (which you can buy on Amazon) and everyone says my skin is glowing. I mostly love that I have saved so much money using these awesome products. Great value.

Amazing!

I never thought a soap could make such a big difference. I switched to this soap about ten days ago and I can't believe how much better my skin feels, especially my face and hands.The Aveeno bar looks and feels completely different from any other bar soap. It does not lather to any great extent, which may bother some people, but the fact is that lather serves no cleaning purpose. It does feel creamy and pleasant. It also has a smell that, well, smells like oatmeal, so that is an adjustment. It is not unpleasant, just different. It does not transfer to the skin, nor can I smell the bar when I walk into the bathroom, which is important to me as I do not like perfumed or flowery soaps that (to me) stink up the room.I was worried that it would not be effective in removing makeup, especially mascara, but it works just fine.Aveeno also has a new product, a moisturizer for people with eczema Aveeno Active Naturals Eczema Care Moisturizing Cream, 6 Oz, that I also started using a week ago, and the effects of the combination of the two is a marvel. I occasionally have mild eczema outbreaks, so I cannot speak for those with more severe cases or itching skin, but this bar and the moisturizer have worked wonders for me.

Works for oily skin too...

My husband is very sensitive to fragrances, so I'm always looking for good fragrance-free skin products. I've been using this soap for several weeks now and really like it. I have oily skin, and it doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy but I can feel that it's moisturizing it.

Aveeno products are all guaranteed great.

Without question, if you have any special need for irritated, dry or combination skin, this soap is miraculous. If Aveeno makes it, buy without any doubt that it will satisfy!

Don't pass this up!

This is a great product to use if you at all suffer from any dry skin or skin irritations. If you find yourself washing your hands all day, use this one and you won't feel like you're washing away all of your skin's natural protection. I've occasionally used it to wash my face, and it does a complete job of removing my make-up without leaving it red and irritated. Definitely worth a try if bar-soaps have disappointed you before!
