Natural sunscreen UVB and UVA protection

Natural sun protection in the form of zinc oxide has been used for generations. Zinc oxide is the only sunscreen ingredient that FDA recognizes both UVB and UVA broad spectrum protection. Unlike protective solar chemical, zinc oxide natural sunscreen can not be absorbed through the skin and is not metabolized by the body. UVA and UVB - what are they?
