Everyone should use a moisturizing lotion with SPF on their face and neck! This is wonderfuly light on my skin. Makeup applies well over this. The scent is a very nice light/creamy citrus. I feel good about using organic products on my face. I'm tired of all the synthetic stuff out there!

Excellent Cream, even if you have acne

I was looking for an organic face cream that also had spf 15. When I saw this, I bought it even though I figured it would make me break out, because most face lotions do. I decided to give it a chance anyway. The cream is a little heavier than most, and my skin is oily, so this was also a red flag for me. But I was wrong! The cream absorbs quickly and is moisturizing, yet does not make me break out. In fact, I believe that it has helped clear my skin. This is an excellent cream, and not something to pass up.This particular seller is Mother Nature, shipping is free after $25, so I enjoy buying from this seller. Other products that I use with this lotion is: Dessert Essence face wash, Nelson's acne gel and Home Health Acne lotion (it's more like a toner). You can get them all from Mother Nature.

Fresh smell, fresh face

This moisturizer is a wonderful thing for me. It starts my day with a fresh orange scent-real orange oil gives it a fresh peeled orange scent. After application, the orange scent fades quickly but the dewy softness of my skin remains. After a couple of weeks I can see an improvement in my skin. Living in the South where the sun can be viciously hot and dangerous, I need a moisturizer with UV protection. This lotion is awesome! The fragrance is nice - not overpowering but enough to last lightly throughout the day.The lotion soaks in easily and is not oily or cakey feeling. This is by far the best lotion I have ever used!!

I didn't get it from amazon, but brought it at my local beauty supply store, and this is a very good hair lotion. My hair it's really soft and stronger after a few days of use. And look so healthy. Now I'll go for the shampoo and conditioner.

Causes hair thinning!

This product made my hair thin. Why? Because of this ingredient Sodium Cetearyl Sulfate. This product is NOT organic - just read the ingredients and you'll know that it's not organic. The producers are lying to you when they say it's "organic." If you want something organic and with olive oil in it, then use REAL olive oil (and other natural oils, like lavender, rosemary, avocado, etc.). This product should be taken off the market; it's a piece of crap. Oh yeah, it also made my scalp itch.

I am a 46 year old caucasian woman w very dry, fine, moderately thick hair. I have been looking for YEARS for a leave in conditioner that works like this. God has answered my prayers!! I feel so fortunate to have bought this stuff today. A dab goes a long way, and after putting it on my dry hair, my hair was lush with moisture, darker from the moisture, which is great, since I do not dye my hair. ....I despise regular conditioners, and most lotions, so you can imagine how dry my hair and skin are- but this stuff just absorbs in and is not greasy at all. My hair is so soft! It looks it, too. Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Oil Moisturizing Hair Lotion is the absolute best conditioner ever made. My OCD is kicking in and I am afraid the company will go out of business, or they will change the formula. Should either occur I would be very sad, possibly .... . suicidal.

I love love that this is not a greasy product. It is rich and a little goes a long way. My hair is soft and I can touch it without pulling back a shiny hand. I use it on my edges and tips and to tame frizzies and fly-a-ways.

Favorite moisturizer, could have more SPF (18 is rather low)

I have been using Avalon Organics now for a few years and this moisturizer is light and feels great under my mineral make-up. I sometimes even use it at night when I am not near my eye cream. It has done well in all other climates too where I wash my face with different types of water (Sometimes same products on my face do differently during my travels). The lavender scene SOMETIMES irritates my skin but I think I am rather used to it - I may switch over at some point after reading Paula's book on "Don't go to the Cosmetics Counter without me" - she did not even review the Avalon Organics line to my surprise but I do think the scents lately are just a bit strong and the SPF is rather low so even though it has those issues, I give it a 4 out of 5 because it is extremely reasonable in price and seems to have done really well on my skin over the last few years. Always explore with facial products. Every face is unique!

Great lotion

I really like this lotion. When I read that it had no parabens or harsh preservatives, I was drawn to it. Parabens affect hormone balance and mainline cosmetic companies have had us rubbing those compounds on our skin for years without considering what effects it caused - they only cared about their bank accounts. Avalon Organics is the brand I will be using from now on. The soap is just as nice as the lotion. I highly recommend them both.
