Moisturizers Certain chemicals can cause tumors?

In a recent study, four non-organic moisturisers, commonly used in America have been to skin cancer in mice that were tested on. The study was led by Allan Conney, director of the Susan Lehman Cullman Laboratory for Cancer Research and professor in the School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University in Piscataway, New Jersey. The test used moisturizers; Dermabase, Dermovan (a product of wholesale only, which was discontinued in 2006), Eucerin Original Moisturizing Cream, and Vanicream.

The moisturizers have been used frequently to test mice with skin cancer related with the sun. Allan Conney said that this resulted in faster growing tumors and an increase in tumors.

"This was unexpected. I really did not expect to see tumor promotion activity of these creams, "Conney said.

Conney and colleagues were finally intending to use one of these moisturisers, in clinical trials in humans with topical caffeine, which has prevented skin cancer in animal studies.
