Handmade Soap

What  is meant by soap? Why it is used?

In chemistry, soap is a salt of a acid. Soapis mainly used for washing and cleaning, but soaps are also important components of lubricants. Natural handmade soaps are quite addictive after you begin to use them. They have a wonderful lather that leaves your skin so much healthier than the 'soaps' you buy at your grocery store.

The reason a natural soap is better for us is because it contains oil and glycerine. Those are the main ingredient that gets left out of the commercial variety. Those types of bathing bars are really detergents – not soap. Just look at the labels a little closer and you'll see what I mean. There's really no soap in grocery store 'soap'.

Some of the most popular oils used in homemade soap are:

-          Olive oil

-          Coconut oil

-          Sesame oil

-          Palm oil

-          Cocoa butter

There's a long list of other specialty oils that soap makers like to use and they are usually added as an addition to the main type used. Depending on if your skin is sensitive, aging, dry or oily, there's soap just for you and me. The variety you can find with this type of product is almost limitless. If you're like me, you'll enjoy buying (or making) all the ‘flavours' and eventually will find your favourites.

Variety is the spice of handmade soaps. Essential oils are used to give them the wonderful scents that we lmeant ove so much. Just as the type of oil used is good for certain skin types, the essential oils are also helpful for any type of condition you may have. And also, they're there for the wonderful aroma that surrounds you each time you use them.

The products manufactured are high quality Nature handmade soap (100% Natural) in a wide variety of fragrances. As a case, the Products manufactured at various manufacturing units like DEVIKTRADER in Ambala ,  also have Gift pack soaps in several models and handicrafts..

Purest and highly qualified raw-materials or ingredients are used in the manufacture of these products. Strict quality control is exercised not only in the selection of raw-materials but in various stages of production as well.

Advantages of Natural Soap can be understood by a fact that Chemically soap is a salt. An acid and a base react with one another and neutralize into the salt (the soap). The process is called saponification, as the acid and the base react the solution is saponifying making soap.

OIL + BASE = SOAP + GLYCERIN

There are many forms of acids and bases and many different ways of making soap. At AURONATURE, Auroville we rely on making soap with easily accessible materials, without complex chemical additives, and using only the heat of the reaction. This is the basic procedure of what is called the cold process method.

There are several advantages that made us choose this method:

1. Simple and Energy Efficient:

In a world that indulges in the use of energy from non- renewable sources manufacturing soap mainly with the heat produced during the chemical reaction itself seems a friendly and sustainable approach.

2. Natural Glycerine:

The natural glycerine produced during the saponification process is kept in the soap, allowing this wonderful humectants and skin protector to remain in the final soap bar. This is the contrary of what happens in the soap. So cold hot process used by the industrial manufacturers, where they extract the natural glycerin from the process and sell the natural glycerin as an expensive by-product.

3. A 100% Natural Pure Vegetable Soaps:

All our soaps are made pure vegetable-based soaps made with a carefully calculated combination of first grade edible oils, and natural colorants to ensure a superior product that not only cleans but is enriched with natural glycerin. The NATURE soap is made without synthetic colorants, preservatives, fragrances and detergents.

4. Labor Intensive:

The manufacture ongoing is fully of hand process, It provides a permanent employment source for local and rural (Most of them are uneducated) women and women self help groups.

Nature soaps are packed in recycled handmade papers. Due to the use of the handmade paper there is no harm of the atmosphere. We are not using any kind of things which affect the atmosphere.

Soap is one of the most important products which we should go natural on. Natural soap is obviously made of natural ingredients which are not harsh on the skin. They are made of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and enzymes which all have a purely nourishing effect on our skin. These ingredients pamper the skin by moisturizing naturally, fighting dryness and dehydration and combating signs of aging.
