What shampoo to use and where I can find it?

Straighting Usely hair im busy every day get tired. I have heard many people say they use a special shampoo, resisting more condintior that makes your hair straight. Can anyone tell me please what shampoo I can use eg the name of it that can make my hair straight and where I can find.

shampoo and conditioner dangerously esances straght of herbs makes your hair really straight, but only if dry hair can be found at Publix, Walgreens, CVS, Albertsons, etc. ..

What shampoo and conditioner is safe for hair extensions?

I just individual chapter keratin bonded hair extensions few days ago. I'm about to wash my hair for the first time, and I need know some specific brands of shampoo and conditioners that are safe. I have heard that a shampoo de-tangles is best and do not use anything with alcohol or oil, but I'm having trouble finding anything that meets those standards. Help!

You can use any shampoo, conditioner +, and remember not to make the roots, and to make your extension is falling! I would use a not too cheap but not too expensive:)

shampoo good, smell bad

by G. Johnson from on 2010-08-24
I read the reviews for this shampoo before buying, and thought it sounded pretty good, but I think it's just average. I would have given it 4 stars if it didn't smell so bad.

Great but perfumy

by Martin from CA on 2010-07-09
The shampoo is great, it leave my hair nice, clean and not too dry, but perfume sensitive buyers be aware that this shampoo contains a strong men-style perfume.Other than that, it's a great product.

BEST SHAMPOO EVER! (And I'm a girl!)

by Laura G from WV on 2010-06-22
After a lifetime of fighting my hair and wasting thousands of dollars on useless hair products, I've finally found the holy grail for hair: Crew for Men shampoo and conditioner. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know it's supposed to be for men but who cares? Hair is hair, right? My nephew turned me on to it... at the beach, after my nieces told me, "Aunt Laura your hair looks terrible!" and it's seriously changed my life. Or at the very least my hair.

My favorite shampoo

by Qual Highety from Austin, Texas on 2010-02-08
It costs a little more than generic shampoo, but it's really worth it. I've tried others, and this is the only shampoo that doesn't leave me feeling like I haven't washed my hair recently.

Girls go crazy with the smell of this shampoo

by Christian Peralta from Reno, NV on 2010-02-03
If there is anything that initiates my memory of going to the barbershop back home it's this shampoo. The smell of it is remarkable. It's manly and the shampoo leaves my hair softer then before. And I have very dry hair, the kind that pokes your hand when you move your hand back against the grain. I am not saying that I am a cosmetologist or an expert in the field of shampoos, but from personal experience, it works great for me and my type of hair. I always recommend this to my friends and girls always complement the way this shampoo leaves my hair smelling.

if you like to have your hair you would not use this product

by The Writer from on 2010-09-08
I have used this product for 3 weeks regularly. first day when i used this shampoo it i had few hair drop off. 2-4 day 20-30 hairs drop off end of first week 2-3 hair and i was very happy with the product. second week it started again 10-20 hairs 3rd week 20-40 hair. Now I am able to see top of my scalp/crown. It was never this worse. my scalp started drying and health of my hair just worsened. I have black hair with dark brown shade. the shampoo dried the scalp/hair so much that there was no shine left and my hair started looking whitish. that's where i stopped using this product. i wish i stoped using this product before. I would no recommend this shampoo unless you want to get bold in a month.

DS Shampoo was terrible for me.

by Luis from on 2010-08-23
I tried it for about 3 weeks and by that time my hair got so oily that i had to use any other shampoo to clean my hair. I followed the instructions of DS Shampoo that say you should wash your hair twice, but after i got out of the shower my hair looked like if i didn't use any shampoo at all or like if i washed my hair with only water. After that, i couldn't keep using DS Shampoo to see hair growth results, instead i tried another cheap shampoo and my hair looked great with no oil.

Bought for 1 reason, kept using for another

by Online Buyer from SoCal on 2010-08-18
My hair started thinning when I was 18 and I have always had a very dry scalp. I bought this along with some minoxidil to try and stop my hair from thinning. I have used Head and Shoulders for my dry scalp for years. Since I started using this I have not used the H&S once. For me it is a great shampoo that I will continue to purchase regardless of the hair growth properties. Both my wife and me have noticed that my hair does seem a little bit thicker but I dont see it growing like crazy.

Hair LOSS stimulating shampoo

by Keidi from on 2010-08-15
This has to be the worst and most expensive shampoo that I've ever used. My hair began falling out when i started using this but i figured i would keep going since it said your hair might fall out for the first couple of weeks. Its been a little over a month now and i just finished my first bottle of revita. My hair is still falling out and if anything its gotten progressively worse. I had low to moderate hair loss before i started using this, now its high (15+ hairs fall per shower). I am giving this another chance, but i am buying the roundtop bottle to see if its any better and if my hair doesn't stop falling out then that will be my last revita purchase ever. Its not even a good shampoo, it dries up and tangles my hair and on some parts it doesn't even come off completely from the water so it feels like gel in my hair. Although i'm beginning to see patches of hair loss on my head, the shampoo is giving my hair more volume which is the only pro to it (somehow i feel its not worth the sacrifice). I will write another review when i'm done with the second one, i'm hoping it gets better.

Worst shampoo for hair loss

by Ara Sevan from Altadena, CA, US on 2010-08-11
Do not buy this product if you'd like to retain your hair! You shed hair like crazy after using this product. I purchased two bottles of this stuff, and only utilized about half of the first bottle before I ended up tossing them away. The bottles arrived leaking, just like other reviewers have noted as well. I've actually had great luck with two other shampoos, one of which is available here on Amazon - check them out - Your Crown and Glory Shampoo, and the other is L-Carnitine Shampoo by Hewley (available on Amazon). Both these products have helped with a healthy scalp, in turn growing new hairs! I've had people comment about how thick my hair is getting, and about the continued new hair growth! Stay away from the Revita, but try the others! Good luck!

One of the best

by Aktempest from Anchorage, Alaska United States on 2010-08-19
I'm a female and natural redhead with very fine long hair..plus my age (late 40s) has brought thinning hair. I've tried many products for thinning hair and/or those advertising adding more body. This is the best shampoo I've found..I'm thrilled it builds body in my hair so well. I also use a very mild conditioner from avon which is not for body. My hair is soft and full..it feels and looks so good. We all know what works for one person might not work for another, but this is worth a try.

Excellent Shampoo

by Jim Murphy from on 2010-07-11
This shampoo is loaded with Biotin which strengthens your hair. It also helps your hair to grow thicker as well. I encourage others to read about Biotin & start using it.

fine as a mild shampoo but does not thicken hair

by JGC from on 2010-06-21
There is no such thing as a shampoo that will make your hair grow nor will any add natural thickness to your hair. These claims are totally unwarranted and without merit. Incidentally the back of the bottle states that this will: maintain a healthy scalp, nourish follicles, help restore thinning hair, strengthen hair strands and boost body and volume. I use this shampoo because it is very mild and has a nice fragrance (lemon). It is certified organic by Quality Assurance International and by BioAgriCert (a company in Italy). I wish Avalon (the brand that manufactures this) would have taken a little bit more care in the packaging, it's just a bottle with a lid that anyone can open up (there isn't any safety seal around the top and the lid can come completely off unlike other big-name brands). Biotin is not the main ingredient in this (it is the 9th listed), some of the other ingredients include: organic aloe barbadensis leaf juice (2nd ingredient), soy protein, citric acid, potassium sorbate and organic rosemary officinalis. This is not 14 ounces though. I thought the bottle looked a little small (compared to my Pantene which is only 12.6) and found it to be barely 12 ounces. When I contacted Amazon they quickly issues me a partial refund for the mistake. Even with the rebate they offered me this is still a little pricey. But if you want a light shampoo without a lot of harsh chemicals then you may want to try this.

About biotin

by M. Kang from Albany, CA on 2010-06-18
I haven't bought this shampoo yet, but while all the raves about this shampoo almost made me buy this one, I somehow got suspicious about the good reviews (thought too good to be true). So I did some search about biotin and here's what wikipedia entry of biotin says:"Biotin is often recommended for strengthening hair and nails. Consequently, it is found in many cosmetics and health products for the hair and skin, though it cannot be absorbed through the hair or skin itself.Biotin deficiency is rare, as, in general, intestinal bacteria produce an excess of the body's recommended daily requirement. For that reason, statutory agencies in many countries, for example the USA and Australia, do not prescribe a recommended daily intake of biotin."If this is true, it's very likely that biotin contained in shampoos, conditioners (not just this one) won't do much for hair growth, thickening.

Works well

by soni from on 2010-08-23
I got this product over the weekend because my hair was dry. I used it this morning and I can feel and see the difference in my hair. Probably not going to use it everyday, but will use it once a week to clean my hair.I'm a little surprised to see how expensive it is on here. Maybe they come in bulk, but $20 something for a bottle of shampoo is too much for me. I got mine for under $4.

Great shampoo for SUPER sensitive/itchy/oily scalp

by J. Ang from Singapore on 2010-02-05
I had been trying other more expensive brands for itchy/sensitive/oily scalp but non of them is working on me, it will usually last me half a day before my hair starts looking limpy and feels itchy. But the itchness had stop after I had started using this shampoo and it really moisturises my roots without making the scalp oily. Happy hair & happy me :)

Incredible product and value!

by Leidy from South Carolina, USA on 2010-04-20
Recently, I started looking for a natural, sulfate-free shampoo. I have short, slightly wavy, fine but thick hair, and most brands, both natural and chemical, make my hair flat and dull or voluminous, but with tons of flyaways.I love this shampoo and its paired conditioner. I have never had results this good from other shampoos. Although I was skeptical about the scent, I found it pleasant rather than overbearingly limey, as I feared. This is a great investment, and a steal for the price! Go for it, then come back and write a glowing review yourself.

Not for me - very drying.

by Jake from on 2009-11-08
This shampoo is way too drying for me - and I have very oily hair! Stripped the oil and left my hair very dry and flyaway. It also made my scalp dry and itchy.

Love it!

by Cat lover from Cleveland, OH on 2009-06-01
I was looking for a sulfate-free shampoo after reading how harsh the sulfate cleansers are on color-treated hair and after reading the reviews decided to gave it a try. Love it so much I won't use anything else now!! It leaves my hair shiny and soft and my scalp feels awesome after shampooing. I guess I never realized how much my scalp itched before! Try it--you will not be sorry.

excellent product

by marmaladegirl from on 2009-05-29
i have very oily skin and scalp. as a result, even though i shower in the morning, by afternoon, my scalp starts to smell of oil. i hate it! and for the first few weeks of using this product, my hair seemed to smell even right after i washed it...as if i didn't wash it at all.i have been on the look-out for more natural products and this shampoo definitely fit the bill. for a non-sls shampoo, it lathers very well (although i do have to use a bit more shampoo than i normally do to achieve this lather). be forewarned that my hair was drier than normal afterwards, with more knots.BUT...as a side benefit, and a totally unforeseen one as well, my scalp no longer smells of oil...even by the next morning. i love that! i think it has to do with the ph balance of this shampoo. but again, this took a few weeks of patience to achieve. anyway, i would recommend this to anyone who might have the same problem.

Happy Hair

by Stefan from San Diego, CA on 2009-05-11
I've lost 9 lbs in two weeks dieting and using this shampoo. I wash my hair about twice a day, so the fact that it said it was for frequent use really twisted my lemon.

Light Conditioning and Neutral pH

by Pam Tee from on 2010-09-03
I like Pantene shampoo. One of the reasons is that it's strong enough to really clean your hair but not so harsh that it dries your scalp. In the past I've had highlights and I've used this shampoo without any detrimental effects. Granted, if I colored my hair again I would use a shampoo made especially for treated hair (probably Pantene, since I'm a creature of habit). As far as conditioning I have to say that it is very light. For my daughter, for example, who has fine, straight, but remarkably easy-to-tangle hair, we still have to use a detangler. So it's a lighter conditioning effect than if you used a separate conditioner. Personally I like this because it doesn't 'weigh' down my hair, just controls the humidity frizzes.OVERALL, a gentle, thorough cleanser with gentle conditioning that makes combing after shampooing easier.Pam T~ mom-blogger

Horrible for your hair, a waste of money!

by Meagan Kathleen from Seattle, WA on 2010-07-22
I have recently switched over all my hair and skin care products to Organic ones. This is one of the best things ive done for myself!I used to use Pantene Pro-V because it was a popular Shampoo/Conditioner brand. It was what people used, and was thought to be a more "premium brand". Well, its garbage. And it will leave your hair weighed down. After a few days of using it, your hair will have a waxy residue on it that is supposed to "imitate" healthy, soft, and silky hair. The smartest thing you can do right now is pitch all commercial brands like Pantene, Aussie, Herbal Essences, etc and go Organic! Awesome Organic brands are as follows: Desert Essence Organics, Jason, Natures Gate, and Burts Bees.

Great every day shampoo

by Mediahound from SF Bay Area, CA United States on 2009-12-05
I've tried several other brands of shampoo, including more expensive so-called premium brands and have not found something better than this Pantene shampoo for the price. Most of the other ones dried out my hair (or at least made my hair feel more dry). The thing I like about this Pantene is that it has a conditioner built in so I only use a separate conditioner a couple times a week and that works out well.

Good, but dries my scalp out.

by Garouix from Cuba, Missouri on 2009-12-09
Biolage IS a good shampoo, but it's not for me. I'm a 20-year-old male with longer hair and I had friends recommend this shampoo, and I was able to get a deal on both this and the condition for $25.Prior to using this I had been shampooing with Selsun Blue for Dry Skin, and conditioning with Nioxin (Really I had just been too lazy to order more Nioxin shampoo lol). I had found that combination to work rather well, but I'm always open for something better if it's possible. As you can probably assume, I have a very sensitive scalp. My stylist told me that I may possibly have a mild form of psoriasis too. I'm also in the early stages of a receeding hairline (which may be helped via psorisis from what I'm told), so finding a product that can preserve my hair as much as possible is very important to me. Unfortunately, I don't believe Biolage to be it.Biolage causes my scalp to break out, so I can only assume I'm allergic to something in it. Not only that, but it actually dries it out badly (a little strange for 'hydratherapie'). However, the worst aspect is I've immediately noticed an increase in the hair I lose -- most notably my hair line. I haven't lost hair on my hairline in a year, and within the first two or three shampoos with Biolage I noticed a difference. I'm only left to assume I'm losing hair on the rest of my head as well. While it's not a huge difference so far, if you're a guy who's just starting to lose your hair, this is your worst nightmare. What I do like about Biolage is the smell, and the fact that it lathers very easy. While it irritates my scalp, it makes my hair feel very manageable and fuller. I can't say I'm a large fan of the conditioner (which I think may be more to blame for my problems), but that's for another review. If you're a male with a sensitive scalp in the early stages of hair recession, I'd recommend you try Nioxin first.

Wonderful product

by Besty Darko from Portland, OR on 2009-04-19
I got this product at least 6 months ago and there's still a lot left of it. It's really creamy and in my opinion better than Aveda and a looot of other hair care products, definately one of the best products I've tried on my hair when paired with the conditioner. It's also not as expensive as kerastase, and works better on my fine hair. Usually, I'll put on a leave-in conditioner afterwards(still searching for a favorite here, used to really like redken no.4 lushwhip), then a little biosilk, then flat iron my hair. =)

Love it!

by Kirsten A. Petersen from California on 2010-03-30
I use a lot of products to smooth my hair out, which essentially leaves me with a lot of buildup. This shampoo works great to wash it all away. My hair has more volume and feels super clean. It has a light, fresh scent, lathers well, and does what it's supposed to. A+

The absolute best clarifying shampoo

by Allison Towers from Salem, OR USA on 2009-08-03
I've tried more than half a dozen clarifying shampoos to get chlorine, campfire smoke, and everyday build up out of my hair, and this is, hands down, the best on the market. I don't use a lot of hair products -- mostly serums and the occasional smoothing balm -- but I do swim often, and I haven't found another shampoo that gets the chlorine smell and feel out on the first wash. It's also a must-have for camping trips; fire smoke can linger for days with other shampoos, but Sunday Shampoo gets you squeaky clean right away.

Best clarifying shampoo ever

by Jennifer from Our nation's capital, DC! on 2009-06-20
I've tried several clarifying shampoos, including the acclaimed Fekkai Apple Cider one, and B+B's is absolutely the best for my hair, which is fine but tends to need a lot of moisture. I love using this and following with a masque-type conditioner. My hair is shiny and soft after using this shampoo, yet I can still go 2 full days before my next shampoo without getting oily roots. I can't say how this would work for very thick hair, but for my fine, somewhat dry, sort of frizz-prone hair this stuff is a great once-a-week treat.

Pretty good!!

by Vicki from Pa. on 2009-05-20
Overall I think this is a good shampoo, my hair did not feel dry like with other clarifiers, how ever it did not not eliminate all my build up, but, I am a product junkie & I only wash my hair every few days & also have hard water. I think for most people this would do the trick!

good clarifying shampoo

by ABC123 from NY, NY on 2009-04-14
does a good job of removing product without overdrying. I can't usually use clarifying shampoos because they make my hair feel like straw. I only shampoo every 3-4 days so I use it once every other week and keeps the product from buildinig up.

Funny smell, but good for my scalp...

by Short Legs from Boston, MA on 2010-08-18
I've been using it for a couple of weeks now, and I have to agree that it's a pretty good shampoo, not 5 stars, but close. I have normal hair that's not treated with anything. A few weeks back, my hairdresser noticed how dry my hair was. Besides the dryness, I had also developed a bald patch on my head (alopecia areata). Since my shampoo plus conditioner (popular retail brand) hasn't seem to help the dryness nor the baldness, I decided to switch from a shampoo with SLS to one without. (I bought this more for the rosemary and lavender oils, to help with balding)My hair feels drier coming out of the shower, but once I dry it out, it doesn't end up that way. I highly recommend using it with the conditioner, which is great! I will say that my hair is healthier, and my scalp is in better condition than before. Before, if I skipped a day without washing my hair, I would end up with a really greasy feeling scalp. I think my scalp was just too dried out along with my hair, and my body just produced more oil to compensate. A few days after using it, my husband asked me if I did something different with my hair, as it wasn't as frizzy as before! Oh, don't worry about the smell; it's only in the shower, and once you rinse, it's gone. It doesn't stay in your hair.My husband also likes it, and it has replaced his dandruff shampoo (H&S), especially since I told him SLS has been shown to potentially affect hormones and may make male pattern baldness worse. That got his attention!!

Good Product but...

Nice product not much complaint besides when I first used it my hair was a bit tangled and a little dry. Yet when I used the shampoo two weeks after my first usage, I did an overnight prepoo that helped the shampoo and detangling process feel much better.

Worked really well!

by Renae W. from Florence, SC on 2010-05-07
I was curious about trying the shampoo after reading one reviewer that is African American like me and I was very surprised. The shampoo really works well for African American type of hair. It not only left my long coarse hair soft but manageable and it the smell lasted in my hair so long. The smell is not over perfumey like a lot of shampoos. I like the smell actually. I did not buy it from Amazon but from a Natural Alternative store. And yes I would buy it again and continue to use it.

Highest Quality Shampoo

by sogalaw from on 2010-07-18
I switched shampoo for years, always chasing the latest and greatest. Never again, this is the real deal. The scent is very clean and fresh and not over-done. This product cleans well but is not harsh. You pay for this quality but it is worth every penny.

Very Satisfied Customer

This is an incredible shampoo! Well worth the money.I received this order in record time and was very pleased with all aspects of this purchase as well as with the Seller. I would definitely purchase from this Seller again in the future.

It's the same as Garnier Fructis.....

by Kim from Oakland CA on 2010-02-25
I am convinced that Garnier Fructis products are virtually the same as Kerastase products, for about 1/10 the price ounce for ounce. I haven't been able to verify this scientifically but the products list the same ingredients in almost the same order and they are both made by L'Oreal. Try the cheap one and see if it doesn't have the same effect on your hair -- that's how I figured out they were the same product. It's all about what they call stratified marketing.

WOW

by G. Lengel from on 2009-07-22
If you have any doubts about buying ANY Kerastase products, I'm here to say it's worth EVERY penny and you will NOT regret spending the money. My hair has never been so beautiful.
