Can Milk Thistle Prevent Liver Cancer?

Is organic milk any better for a 1 year-old then regular milk?

Family members have told me that we should be giving our 1 year-old organic milk and not regular milk. What are the benefits? My wife and I, and all of our friends grew up on the regular stuff and we're just fine. Are there any proven benefits? Has any true authority taken a position on this question?

Well we all grew up on regular milk, and are fine for the most part, which is something I think parents tend to forget when new studies come out substituting organic milk may be most beneficial if they are on an all organic diet. But milk alone would be one way of just reducing the amount of supposed pesticides (cows eat the grass that are sprayed then passed through the milk). Organic food hasn't been researched long enough to know its benefits on the body, despite some short term studies. Though I think it sounds like common sense to know that pesticides are bad for you, we don't know what effects they have exactly.
I went on an all organic frenzy that I gave up on after a few weeks. There isn't a lot of variety in organic foods for children. Plus I realized that my child nursing from me when younger (because I wasn't eating organically) is equivilant to drinking regular milk.
Though I do think it is wise to reduce the amount of pesticides, and milk is a good start. Just be aware that you are paying 50-60% more money for 1/2 the amount.
